Baseball Recap: La Junta Comes Up Short

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, La Junta was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against the Pueblo County Hornets, falling 9-1. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

La Junta's record now sits at 3-11. As for Pueblo County, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Junta will square off against Buena Vista at 4:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for Pueblo County, they will face off against Pueblo Centennial at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Hornets are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
