Lafayette had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the New Iberia Yellowjackets on Tuesday. Considering the Lions have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lafayette now has a winning record of 13-12. As for New Iberia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-13.

Lafayette will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Yellowjackets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
