Softball Recap: Strathmore's Run of Six Straight Wins Now Over

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Strathmore was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They fell just short of the Exeter Monarchs by a score of 3-1. The game marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Strathmore saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elisabeth Ceballos, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

The defeat snapped Strathmore's winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 8-3 record. As for Exeter, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Strathmore will face off against Farmersville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Exeter, they will challenge Sierra Pacific at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sierra Pacific will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Exeter surely won't give up without a fight.
