Volleyball Recap: Westborough Comes Up Short

Westborough entered their matchup against Shrewsbury on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Rangers came up short against the Colonials, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rangers have suffered since October 16, 2024.

Westborough was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Shrewsbury work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-9, 25-20.

Al Regnier paced Westborough's offense, picking up eight kills. Regnier got some help from Charlotte Dullea and her 19 assists. Kathleen O'Reilly and Grace Hadley kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Leading Shrewsbury to victory were Erin Boulay and Gracie Hester. Boulay had 14 digs and three aces, while Hester had 18 assists and six digs. That's the most aces Boulay has posted over her last eight contests.

Westborough's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Shrewsbury, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-0.
