Volleyball Recap: Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy Comes Up Short

Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Swamp Owls from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Alexis Drummond paced Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy's offense, picking up three kills. Drummond got some help from Valerie Huete and her five assists. Finally, London Weber kept Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy will challenge St. Thomas Aquinas at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Swamp Owls' contest: after the Swamp Owls face off against the Falcons, they'll take on Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy again at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
