Basketball Recap: Huffman Now 12-1 over Last 13 Games

Huffman won the last time they faced Woodlawn and things went their way on Friday too. The Huffman Vikings snuck past the Woodlawn Colonels with a 59-53 victory. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Colonels are ranked 116th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Huffman is also on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Woodlawn, they dropped their record down to 10-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

When Huffman and Woodlawn next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Huffman will try to stop Midfield's 11-game winning streak when the meet at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Woodlawn will challenge Mountain Brook and their ten-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
