Soccer Game Preview: Mountain House vs. Manteca

The Mountain House Mustangs will square off against the Manteca Buffaloes at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Mountain House is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to seven goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Patterson on Thursday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 5-0. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Manteca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Patterson. While losing is never fun, the Buffaloes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1041st, while the Tigers are ranked 85th).

Manteca's loss dropped their record down to 2-17-2. As for Mountain House, they now have a losing record at 9-10-2.

Mountain House took their win against Manteca in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 5-2. Will Mountain House repeat their success, or does Manteca have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
