Stevens Point is 9-1 against Merrill since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Stevens Point Panthers will take on the Merrill Bluejays at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Stevens Point earned a 63-51 win over Watertown. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Goslings are ranked 290th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Merrill challenged Lakeland on Monday. Merrill came out on top against Lakeland by a score of 52-42. While the Bluejays didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Stevens Point has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Merrill, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-4.

Stevens Point took their win against Merrill when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 61-39. Does Stevens Point have another victory up their sleeve, or will Merrill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
