Football Recap: Genoa Area Comets vs. Keystone Wildcats

Genoa Area and Keystone squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Genoa Area had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Keystone Wildcats 49-21. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zach Shackelford continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Keystone, rushing for 218 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per carry, and also throwing for 67 yards and a touchdown on only five passes. Those 218 rushing yards gave Shackelford a new career-high.

Genoa Area's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Keystone, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
