Basketball Recap: Cobden Comes Up Short

Cobden was the 50-41 winner over Johnston City when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Cobden Appleknockers took a 57-39 bruising from the Johnston City Indians on Thursday. The Appleknockers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cobden now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Johnston City, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Cobden will welcome Zeigler-Royalton at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Johnston City, they and Pope County will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
