Basketball Game Preview: O'Connor Panthers vs. Harlan Hawks

The O'Connor Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Harlan Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. O'Connor is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

It was a proper cat-fight when O'Connor duked it out withSotomayor on Saturday. O'Connor sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-54 victory over Sotomayor. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly two points.

Meanwhile, Harlan unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 96-59 loss at the hands of Brennan. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hawks have suffered since December 3, 2024.

O'Connor's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-10. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Harlan, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 16-9.

O'Connor came up short against Harlan in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 83-70. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Harlan's Josiah Jones, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 31 points and six assists.
