Preview: Douglas Tigers vs. Spanish Springs Cougars
Douglas has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Spanish Springs Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Douglas rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They managed a 44-39 win over the Lancers. Given Douglas' advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while McQueen is ranked 62nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Spanish Springs can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They blew past Galena 67-30 at home. The victory was nothing new for Spanish Springs as they're now sitting on four straight.
Spanish Springs' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mackenzie Chase, who scored four points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. Chase is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Graham, who scored 11 points.
Douglas is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Spanish Springs, they pushed their record up to 17-10 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
