The Pueblo Central Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Northridge Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pueblo Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Pueblo Central saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 9-6 win over Skyline.

Jordan Arguello made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Arguello was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cole Billings, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Zack Haney, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Northridge unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 15-0 to Greeley West on Tuesday. Grizzlies fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Spartans since on Tuesday.

Pueblo Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Northridge, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Pueblo Central skirted past Northridge 7-6 in their previous meeting back in March of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pueblo Central since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
