Volleyball Recap: Flint Academy Falcons vs. Dallas Academy Bulldogs
Flint Academy kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dallas Academy Bulldogs. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured nine losses in a row dating back to last season.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-7, 21-25, 25-10.
Amelia Hoerig was her usual excellent self, getting 18 aces and five kills for Dallas Academy. Hoerig is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served five or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was LaRae Quinn, who had five aces.
The victory (which was Dallas Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flint Academy will venture away from home to challenge St. Paul's Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dallas Academy, they will challenge Grace Covenant Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
