Volleyball Recap: Jamesville-Dewitt Starts off Right with Win over Cicero-North Syracuse

Jamesville-DeWitt had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Cicero-North Syracuse Northstars with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Red Rams haven't had any issues with the Northstars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Cicero-North Syracuse had strong showings from Jack Copeland, who had six kills and five digs, and Kevin Huynh, who had 11 assists and two aces. Copeland is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had five or more in each of the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.

Cicero-North Syracuse's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jamesville-DeWitt will head out to face off against East Syracuse-Minoa at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cicero-North Syracuse, they will venture away from home to take on Fayetteville-Manlius at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
