Softball Game Preview: St. Paul Buckaroos vs. Colton Vikings

The St. Paul Buckaroos will head out to square off against the Colton Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Paul has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. Paul lost 12-4 to Salem Academy on Friday. The Buckaroos haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Colton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Kennedy, falling 15-3.

Clara Weinberger made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

St. Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Colton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11-1.

St. Paul came out on top in a nail-biter against Colton in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 14-12. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buckaroos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
