Alhambra hadn't done well against Browne recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Lions walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Bruins. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 19-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Emily Noriega was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Emelie Bello, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Alhambra was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .562. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .344 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Alhambra's record is now 11-9. As for Browne, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, Alhambra and Browne will both be playing Central the next time they take the field. The Bruins will head out to face the Bobcats at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 3:30 p.m.
