Baseball Recap: Steinbrenner Comes Up Short

Steinbrenner is still winless after their matchup against Bloomingdale on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bulls. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Bulls when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Steinbrenner saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Mix, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those hits marked the first that Mix has got this season.

Steinbrenner's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bloomingdale, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Looking ahead, Steinbrenner will face off against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 3.5, the Dragons 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Bloomingdale, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Strawberry Crest on the 21st.
