Recap: Eastern Ramblers vs. Ron Brown Monarchs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cardozo, the Eastern Ramblers were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 45-34 victory over Ron Brown. That's another feather in the cap for Eastern, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Eastern to victory were Isyah Joyner and Rashid Faruq. Joyner dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds, while Faruq scored 22 points. Faruq has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times he's played. Kameron Pendarvis was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
Eastern has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Ron Brown, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
Eastern will be playing in front of their home fans against McKinley Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McKinley Tech is coming into the game with five straight victories on the road, meaning Eastern will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. Ron Brown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
