Football Recap: Falkville Starts Season with Victory Against Vinemont + How To Watch

Falkville took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 22-6 victory over the Vinemont Eagles. This was payback for the Blue Devils, who suffered a 16-14 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Cash Lawrimore went supernova, picking up 87 receiving yards and one TD, while also rushing for 57 yards. Those 87 receiving yards gave him a new career-high. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Tristen Perry, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Another reason for the win was Falkville's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Houston Jackson, Derrick Woodruff, and Brodie Bennett, who each picked up one sack apiece.
