Soccer Game Preview: Fulshear vs. George Ranch

The Fulshear Chargers will take on the George Ranch Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Fulshear's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while George Ranch has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Fulshear managed to keep up with Strake Jesuit until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Fulshear lost 4-0 to Strake Jesuit. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, the Chargers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, George Ranch didn't have quite enough to beat Alief Elsik on Friday and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 503rd, while the Rams are ranked first).

Fulshear's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-2-2. As for George Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1.
