Ludlow blew West Springfield out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday West Springfield got their revenge. The Lions fell just short of the Terriers by a score of 12-10. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Emily Pereira was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Those RBI were her first of the season. Kylie Roach was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one run and one RBI.

Ludlow's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for West Springfield, they moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Ludlow will head out on the road to square off against Hampshire Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Springfield, they will face off against Westfield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
