Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Taelynn Harrison and Rian Hughes Lead Ponder to Victory

Ponder saw some tournament action on Friday. They came out on top against the Red Oak Hawks by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Ponder was led to victory by Rian Hughes and Taelynn Harrison. Hughes had six digs and three assists, while Harrison had four digs and one assist. Those six digs gave Hughes a new career-high. Kate Simmons also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Ponder now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Red Oak, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Ponder didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Centennial on the 16th. As for Red Oak, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Community on the 16th.
