Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kenlee Agrell and Aubrey Taylor Lead Pinecrest to Victory

Pinecrest lost to Cape Fear back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Patriots came out on top against the Colts by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Pinecrest was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (93-92), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 17-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Leading Pinecrest to victory were Aubrey Taylor and Kenlee Agrell. Taylor had 33 digs and three aces, while Agrell had eight digs and two aces. That's the most digs Agrell has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good servers: Pinecrest was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cape Fear only served seven.

The win got Pinecrest back to even at 12-12. As for Cape Fear, their defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7.

Looking ahead, Pinecrest will face off against Myers Park at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cape Fear does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
