Sandwich has gone a perfect 3-0 against Rockland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Blue Knights will square off against the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. Sandwich will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Sandwich sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over Middleborough.

The team relied heavily on James Niemiec, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Joe Coughlan, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Rockland came up short against South Shore Vo-Tech on Saturday and fell 4-1.

Rockland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Hatch, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Austin Daly was another, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Sandwich's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Rockland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Everything went Sandwich's way against Rockland when the teams last played back in April, as Sandwich made off with an 8-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
