While Metro Tech's win against Fairfax wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Stampede 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Stampede: they've now won nine in a row.

Metro Tech was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-20, 22-25, 25-19, 15-10.

Metro Tech's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Fairfax, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Metro Tech didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Carl Hayden Community on the 15th. As for Fairfax, they will host Buckeye at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
