Basketball Recap: Freire Charter Takes a Loss

Freire Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 33-24 to the MAST Charter II Voyagers. The contest marked the Dragon's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

MAST Charter II's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jadan Thomas led the charge by putting up ten points. Another player making a difference was Shane Twyman, who posted eight points.

Freire Charter's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for MAST Charter II, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-5.

Freire Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-29 defeat against Mount Pleasant on the 14th. MAST Charter II has also already played their next matchup, a 59-41 loss against Varsity Opponent on the 13th.
