Softball Game Preview: Los Altos Conquerors vs. Warren Bears

The Los Altos Conquerors will square off against the Warren Bears at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Los Altos 3.1, Warren 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Los Altos is headed into the game having just posted their closest win since March 17th on Friday. They skirted past San Dimas 4-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Conquerors.

Kaylahni Duenas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Brianah Alejandre was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. Maya Ruiz also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Warren came up short against La Mirada on Saturday and fell 5-1. The Bears have struggled against the Matadores recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Warren saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julissa Gradilla, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Warren's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Los Altos, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.

Los Altos might still be hurting after the 9-1 defeat they got from Warren in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Conquerors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
