Softball Recap: Warren Comes Up Short

Warren lost against Parkersburg South back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors lost 10-4 to the Patriots. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

DeLaney Gates made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Emma Lang, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Warren's record now sits at 1-5. As for Parkersburg South, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Warren will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Fort Frye at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Warriors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Parkersburg South, they are taking a road trip to face off against Parkersburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
