Softball Recap: Fitchburg Takes a Loss

Fitchburg lost against Groton-Dunstable back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Blue Raiders fell 7-4 to the Crusaders. The Blue Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

MacKenzie Roy made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Alana Beauchemin was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Fitchburg's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Groton-Dunstable, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fitchburg will face off against St. Bernard's Central Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Groton-Dunstable, they will square off against Algonquin Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
