Soccer Recap: South Takes a Loss + How To Watch

South was the 3-0 winner over Doherty Memorial when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Colonels lost 5-2 to the Highlanders on Monday. While losing is never fun, South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Doherty Memorial are ranked 74th).

South's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5-2. As for Doherty Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 4-2-2.

Coming up, South is taking a road trip to square off against Tantasqua Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Doherty Memorial, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Auburn at 3:30 p.m.
