Recap: Manila Lions vs. Junction City Dragons
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Manila Lions can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Junction City on Friday, falling 52-6. Manila just can't catch a break and has now endured four defeats in a row.
Montra Hankton was a one-man wrecking crew for Junction City as he rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 160 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes. Dominique Grimes also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Manila has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Junction City, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Manila does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Junction City will take on Walnut Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Walnut Ridge is ranked 89th, while Junction City is ranked 104th).
