Sherando waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Kettle Run Cougars. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win didn't come easy: Kettle Run scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 19-25, 25-20.

Sherando's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Kettle Run, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Coming up, Sherando will be playing in front of their home fans against Warren County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kettle Run, they will be taking part in a tournament against Falls Church at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Cougars are facing the Jaguars at the right time seeing as the Jaguars are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
