            North Decatur waltzed into their contest  on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with  a   62-51  victory over the Knightstown Panthers. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the   59-53 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in February of 2024.

 North Decatur got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Owen Rennekamp out in front who  went 5-for-9  en route to 16 points and five  assists. Rennekamp is also on a roll when it comes to  field goal percentage, as he's  posted one of at least 50% in the last seven games he's  played.  Brady Mauer was another key player,  going 5-for-10  to rack up 19  points and five  rebounds.
 When it comes to explaining why Knightstown lost, don't look at  Brant Ellis. Despite the final result, he  went 7-for-13  on his way to 18 points and four  steals. Those four  steals gave  Ellis a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Derius Moore, who  posted six  points and six  boards.
North Decatur pushed their record up to 11-11 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 56.3 points over those games. As for Knightstown,  they are  on  a  12-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-15.
 Coincidentally, North Decatur and Knightstown will both be playing Southwestern the next time they take the court. Knightstown will head out to face Southwestern at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday, while North Decatur will head out to face them  at 7:30  p.m.  on February 21st.
