Basketball Game Preview: Freeman Flyers vs. Corsica/Stickney Jaguars

Freeman hasn't had much luck against Corsica/Stickney recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Freeman Flyers will head out on the road to challenge the Corsica/Stickney Jaguars at 8:00 p.m. Freeman knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Corsica/Stickney likes a good challenge.

Freeman will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Hanson, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Freeman put the hurt on Hanson with a sharp 76-55 win on Tuesday. The Flyers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but last Monday Corsica/Stickney sidestepped Bon Homme for a 45-43 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

Freeman is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points over those games. As for Corsica/Stickney, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

Everything came up roses for Freeman against Corsica/Stickney in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 67-32 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Freeman since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
