Soccer Recap: Hancock Takes a Loss

Hancock's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 3-1 to the Lafayette Commodores. That's two games in a row now that the Hawks have lost by exactly two goals.

Their goal came courtesy of Sam Powell, who's now up to four this season.

Hancock has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7-1 record this season. As for Lafayette, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

Hancock will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Vancleave at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Lafayette will take on Long Beach in a holiday battle at at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
