Basketball Recap: Hagerman Takes a Loss

Hagerman was the 57-56 winner over Quemado when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Hagerman Bobcats took a 62-47 bruising from the Quemado Eagles on Saturday. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Hagerman lost, don't look at Jevon Aguilar. Despite the final result, he posted 22 points. The contest was Aguilar's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aiden Dunnahoo, who scored five points and nine boards.

Hagerman now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Quemado, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Hagerman will head out on the road to square off against Floyd at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Hagerman is facing Floyd at the right time seeing as Floyd is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Quemado, they will take on Newcomb in a tournament on Thursday.
