Basketball Recap: Patrick Henry Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Patrick Henry had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 62-52 win over the Chilhowie Warriors. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 61-46 win back in January.

Patrick Henry's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cole Caywood led the charge by going 10-for-17 on his way to 21 points and eight boards. Caywood has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Aidan Monahan, who went 5-for-12 en route to 13 points along with eight boards and four steals.

Patrick Henry smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.
