Clinton took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They secured a 64-60 W over Pearl.

Meanwhile, Meridian lost to Columbus on the road by a 56-42 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Falcons are ranked first).

Clinton pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Meridian, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
