Basketball Recap: Fairview Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Fairview duked it out withPitkin on Tuesday. The Fairview Panthers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 84-46 to the Pitkin Tigers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Panthers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Fairview's loss dropped their record down to 27-15. As for Pitkin, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Fairview and Pitkin should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Fairview (ranked 89th) will meet Elizabeth (ranked 274th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pitkin will challenge Oberlin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday up 260 places (115 vs. 375).
