With a playoff win on the line, South Medford rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They blew past the Newberg Tigers 67-37. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 games by 21 points or more this season.

The win was the fifth in a row for South Medford, bringing their record for this year to 21-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.0 points on average over those games. As for Newberg, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-14.
