Softball Game Preview: Elton Indians vs. Oberlin Tigers

The Elton Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Oberlin Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Elton turned things around against Johnson Bayou on Monday. They put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 20-4 win.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oberlin). Everything went their way against Hackberry on Monday as Oberlin made off with a 23-5 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Oberlin's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Elton, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.

Elton suffered a grim 15-3 defeat to Oberlin when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Elton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
