Baseball Recap: Navasota Comes Up Short

Navasota blew Smithville out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Smithville got their revenge. The Rattlers fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 4-2. The Rattlers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Navasota saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cash Fox, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI. Another was Evan Otto, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Navasota's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Smithville, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.

While Navasota had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
