Soccer Game Preview: Gardiner vs. Morse

The Gardiner Tigers will square off against the Morse Shipbuilders at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Gardiner took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They won by a goal and slipped past Cony 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Gardiner were the better team in the second half.

Logan Cote and Grayson Greenleaf scored both of Gardiner's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Morse ultimately got the result they hoped for. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Gardiner. Winning may never get old, but Morse sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Gardiner's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Morse, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
