Basketball Recap: Bynum Skates Past Morgan with Ease

Bynum waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They breezed by the Morgan Eagles to the tune of 70-23. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Leading Bynum to victory were Colin Poole and Joshua Castro. Poole dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Castro posted ten points along with seven steals and six assists. Castro has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Collins, who went 7 of 17 en route to 15 points and five assists.

Bynum smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

Bynum pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points per game. As for Morgan, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Bynum will head out to challenge Avalon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Avalon will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Bynum surely won't give up without a fight. As for Morgan, they will host Kopperl at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
