Lee's Summit West came tearing into Saturday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Grain Valley Eagles by a score of 10-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-3 back in March.

Lee's Summit West's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-13-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Grain Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-12-1.

Coming up, Lee's Summit West will venture away from home to square off against Raymore-Peculiar at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Grain Valley, they will challenge Belton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
