Soccer Game Preview: Walnut Hills vs. Colerain

The Walnut Hills Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Colerain Cardinals at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Walnut Hills' last six matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Walnut Hills is headed into the match having not lost since August 28 and will look to keep things rolling. They had just enough and edged out Sycamore 1-0 on Saturday. Walnut Hills' winning goal came courtesy of Karringtyn Wilder.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Colerain's offense. They lost 8-0 to Fairfield on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for Colerain in their meetings with Fairfield: they've now lost three in a row.

Colerain's loss dropped their record down to 3-8-1. As for Walnut Hills, they now have a winning record of 6-5-3.

Walnut Hills came out on top in a nail-biter against Colerain when the teams last played back in October of 2023, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cardinals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
