Baseball Recap: Covenant School of Jacksonville Comes Up Short

Covenant School of Jacksonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Christ's Church Academy Eagles.

Covenant School of Jacksonville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Jones, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Jones a new career-high in doubles (two).

Covenant School of Jacksonville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Christ's Church Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covenant School of Jacksonville will take on Menendez at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Christ's Church Academy, they will challenge Hilliard at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
