Softball Game Preview: Dixie Flyers vs. Sky View Bobcats

For the second straight game, Dixie will face off against Sky View. The Flyers will head out to challenge the Bobcats at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Dixie is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Dixie heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Friday. They fell 9-4 to Sky View.

For Sky View's part, Avaree Haramoto was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts Haramoto has posted over her last 11 matchups. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Sky View let Eliza Birman and Brylee Andrus run wild. Birman went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Andrus went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Andrus has posted over her last nine contests. Cassidy Coleman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Sky View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Sky View's record is now 11-17. As for Dixie, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-18.
