Curry has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 1.53 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They lost 10-4 to the Hoover Buccaneers. The Yellowjackets' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Shileigh Williams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ansley Brown, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Curry's loss dropped their record down to 42-3. As for Hoover, they pushed their record up to 18-14 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Curry will take on Hewitt-Trussville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hoover, they have already played their next match, a 15-1 defeat against Orange Beach on the 19th.
